Update On Legendary Commentator Being At AEW All In: London

The legendary “Good ‘Ol” Jim Ross recently went through brain surgery on August 12th, 2026, installing a shunt into his brain and going down into his stomach, a procedure which assists with removing access fluid from his brain and helps with his balance and cognitive issues. He’s given several updates on his X(Twitter) account since then, updating everyone on his current health as well as giving updates on his “Grilling JR” Podcast. He previously stated that his ultimate goal is to be able to work Wimbley Stadium in London, England, for AEW’s premiere PPV “AEW All In: London” on August 30th.
However, things did not go as planned for the Hall Of Famer. On his X(Twitter) account he posted two updates about the status of his post-surgery, including what his head looked like (a giant half-circle wound on the back of his head) and that he still has headaches and his head is as sore as can be.
Unfortunately, on his latest Episode 386 of the “Grilling JR” Podcast, Jim Ross had to announce that he would not be able to attend Wimbley Stadium. According to the legendary commentator, his doctor and his brain surgeon got together and explicitly advised against flying due to his severe post-surgery headaches, infection risks from an open wound, and particularly balance issues he continues to have making him a high fall risk during long-distance travels. For example: if he falls on the plane they might have to make an emergency landing, or if he falls while in London he would have to go to a London hospital. He stated it’s not worth the risk, even though he’s very disappointed about not making his goal, but that’s the way it goes sometimes he said. He also stated he’s got good friends and good care helping him out at home, and he’ll definitely be watching the PPV as there will be some, as they say in the wrestling business, dream matches at “All In: London”.
