It’s Monday Night, so that means it’s time to get RAW! Tonight we’re from the Scope Arena in Norfolk, VA. A tournament begins tonight featuring the best luchadores from RAW, SmackDown and AAA all battling to determine who will challenge The World Heavyweight Champion Roman Reigns as the #1 Contender at the first Monday Night RAW in Mexico City in 15 years. In the first-round tourney matchup, Penta battles Laredo Kid. In other tag team action, Sol Ruca and a mystery partner will take on Women’s Intercontinental Champion Raquel Rodriguez and Roxanne Perez. Akira Tozawa goes for revenge one-on-one with Austin Theory. As for segments, after their shocking returns last week Stephanie Vaquer will take the mic as well as Becky Lynch to appear live tonight.

This is your live report for Monday Night RAW on August 10^th.

We first get our superstars entering the building. We’re shown what happened last week between Roman Reigns and LA Knight. Then the street fight between Jacob Fatu and Royce Keys.

Michael Cole and Corey Graves are our commentators tonight, and “Amazing Hair” Alicia Taylor is our ring announcer. Bruised larynx and cervical strain is the official diagnosis for Keys and is out indefinitely. Suddenly here comes Solo Sikoa through the crowd.

He said he came to RAW to handle some family business. Here comes Jey Uso. He doesn’t look like “YEET~!”-ing very much. He asked if Sikoa really wanted to air the family laundry. He said Sikoa needs to fall in line. Sikoa said Jey didn’t fall in line because he fell off. Jey won the Royal Rumble and was the World Champion. Now, it sucks to be him. Face it, Sikoa loves where he’s at and he’s not coming back to the family.

Jey said for Sikoa to shut up. It was Jey who took care of Solo growing up, feeding him and changing his diapers. Sikoa’s only here because of him. He’s going to handle this the only way the Bloodline can. Jey versus Sikoa tonight. If he wins, Sikoa comes back to the Bloodline. If he beats Jey, the Bloodline leaves him alone. There’s our likely main event for the night.

The announcers mention RAW in Mexico City for the first time, and the luchador tournament to face Roman Reigs as the #1 Contender for the WHC title. Up next is the first of first-round tournaments with Penta vs Laredo Kid.

Back in the arena, Penta makes his way out first.

We then get The Usos backstage now with Fatu. Jey is all fired up, saying this is something Fatu couldn’t do.

Back in the arena live, Laredo Kid then makes his way to the ring.

Penta vs Laredo Kid:

The winner of this match will face either Psycho Clown or La Parka in the second-round tourney.

Penta first tried to shake the hand of Kid, but Kid refused. Pent a takes control of Kid to start things off. Kid manages to hit a Missile Dropkick and send Penta to the outside. Penta catches Kid and sends Kid outside with a Hurricanrana. They get back in the ring, and the match continues with Kid in control.

After a bit we thought it might be the end when Kid nailed a Poison-rana from the turnbuckles onto Penta and a 450-Splash but only for a close call. Penta sent Kid outside and hit a Summersault Dive. Penta Driver to Kid, but only a close call. Kid tried to fight back, but a Mexican Destroyer by Penta onto Kid got Penta the win.

WINNER: Penta

Backstage with the Vision being interviewed by Byron Saxton. Logan Paul said the Alpha Academy are beneath them. Austin Theory said he’s giving Tozawa an ass whoppin’. Bron Breakker was asked if he had something to say. He asked Saxton if Oba Femi was the future of WWE. Saxton said that’s what Brock Lesnar said. Breakker said he sounded just like Paul Heyman.

Next, Austin Theory with the Vision comes to the ring. Out comes Tozawa. Break.

Austin Theory vs Akira Tozawa:

Off the bell Tozawa tried to charge and pound on Theory, but Theory overpowered him. Tozawa’s speed soon takes back control, but Theory’s power comes into play again. The announcers keep talking about the issues with Breakker being upset with Femi being called the future instead of him anymore.

Theory continues to overpower Tozawa. He looks like he’s out of his league here. Tozawa almost got a Sunset Flip, but Theory continues to put on a show. Chinlock by Theory as Tozawa gets psyched up and out. Theory tosses Tozawa to the outside by the Vision. Theory tried for his Flipping Clothesline, but Tozawa hits a DDT, a Shining Wizard and a Senton, but only for a two. Yes-Kicks by Tozawa. Tozawa tried for a flying move, but he was caught by Theory and then hit the Off Switch to Tozawa for the win.

WINNER: Austin Theory

Theory tried to grab a steel chair after the match, but the RAW GM Adam Pearce and officials stopped him. Breakker got in the ring for a spear, when suddenly Femi’s music hits and he struts to the ring. Theory tried to charge Femi but got dropped. Breakker just stares at Femi as officials keep them separated.

Next, out comes Danhausen with the Dan-mobile full of human monies. He keeps using other people’s catchphrases. He asks a fan what his catchphrase is. He said very nice and very evil. He launches his human monies to the fans (Hausen-monies). Just a quick bathroom break moment.

We then got a video of Stephanie Vaquer when she was injured, and when she came back to RAW last week. Now, out to the ring comes Vaquer for a promo.

She said she missed that ring. She missed seeing Judgment Day scared. Nobody can destroy her. Perez is a dead woman. And Morgan, the title belongs to her.

Out comes Becky Lynch. Vaquer asks what she wants. Lynch says to beat up Morgan. She says Vaquer has made a big impact in a short time. She said the title doesn’t need any more bad luck. She can settle her score. But when it comes to championships, Vaquer doesn’t deserve the title, she does. Vaquer says if Lynch gets in her way she’s show her what La Primera is about.

Liv Morgan with a sneak attack from behind on Lynch with Oblivion, but Lynch gets out and hits an Exploder. Vaquer and Lynch get in each other’s faces.

Now backstage being interviewed by Cathy Kelley is LA Knight. He talks about Reigns putting his title up in a tournament. Sikoa comes up to him and asks if he saw what happened to Keys last week. Sikoa has a match tonight. And then, they’ll come for Knight next. Knight said he appreciated the warning.

Now live, “Dirty” Dom comes out to the ring. Then, Dragon Lee comes out for his impromptu match.

Dominick Mysterio vs Dragon Lee:

They mention Dom is not in the tournament, but Lee is and will be facing Dr Wagner Jr.

After a back-and-forth start, Lee starts beating some respect into Dom. Dom gets ahead and tried for the Three Amigos, but Lee immediately reversed it for a pin attempt. Lee then attempts to leap over the ropes after being sent over by Dom, but his leg got caught on the top rope as he crashed and burned. Dom with a Suicide Dive onto Lee.

Back in the ring, Lee is favoring his left knee now. Dom is “dom”-inating (pun intended) now. Chin lock on Lee by Dom. Lee got fired up but Dom knocked him back down. Suddenly, Lee psyches up and takes Dom down repeatedly. Tornado DDT for a near fall. Fly Like A Dragon onto Dom on the outside, but Dom takes over again with a version of a 6-1-9. They go up top. Dom gets hung up, and Lee with a Stomp from up top. Lee misses a move and Dom with a 6-1-9. Frog Splash but Lee got his knees up. Lee hits the Operation Dragon for the win.

WINNER: Dragon Lee.

After the match, Big Cass returns and comes up from behind with Deep River Crossing to Lee. Then, Je’Von Evans comes out to attack Cass. But Cass floors Evans. Big boot onto Evans.

Byron Saxton interviews Sol Ruca. She said she had a tag team partner. And afterwards, she’s going after her Women’s Intercontinental title.

Joe Hedry is in the ring. He announced his album is coming out this October, and tonight we’re having a worldwide exclusive. He’s written a song to right all the wrongs. He sings his song to claps and phone lights. About giving Hendry every single belt right now.

The 40^th annual Royal Rumble is in the State Farm Arena in Glendale in my hometown/state of AZ.

Knight is talking to GM Pearce. Knight complained about the luchador tourney for Reigns title. Pearce said he’ll work on getting him into the title picture. Fatu is there after Pearce leaves. Fatu and Knight yell at each other as Fatu said he’ll dog walk his ass.

Now live, out comes the Judgment day of Raquel Rodriguez and Roxanne Perez. Then, Sol Ruca comes out. And who is her partner? The genius of the sky, IYO SKY.

Raquel Rodriguez & Roxanne Perez vs Sol Ruca & IYO SKY:

Rodriguez and Ruca, the current and former Women’s IC Champions, start things off. Ruca’s speed giver her a slight edge, but Rodriguez’s power soon takes over. Ruca gets isolated into the heel’s corner as Perez tags in. Kicks by Ruca, sending Perez into the face corner, where Ruca tags in SKY. Eventually all four women are in the ring as Ruca and SKY knock the heels to the outside. SKY attempted a Suicide Dive onto Rodriguez but got caught. Ruca leaps onto Rodriguez. Perez leaped onto Ruxca and SKY to regain control.

Back in the ring, Rodriguez is in control with Ruca being isolated. Until Ruca drives Rodriguez into the mat. Hot tags to Perez and SKY. SKY gets the upper hand taking out Perez and hits an Uppercut. Rodriguez tries to interfere, but she ended up kicking her partner Perez instead. Uppercut to Rodriguez. Bullet Train against the steel post to Rodriguez. SKY with a Missile Dropkick to Perez. Backbreaker to Perez but kickout at two. Now Rodriguez back in but gets a Tornado DDT. Perez breaks things up for a pin but gets a knee.

Now the heels are in control again. Double team on SKY and a pin attempt, but Ruca intercepts it. After the ring is cleared again of just the legal women, SKY hits a German Suplex and a Bullet Train Attack on Perez and Ruca tags in. German Suplex by Ruca. Rodriguez now back up on the apron, takes out Ruca, but SKY with a Rope Assisted Moonsault.

Perez attempted Pop Rox, but Ruca rolled out of it. Sol Snatcher by Ruca onto Perez for the win.

WINNERS: Sol Ruca & IYO SKY

Now backstage again we see Breakker coming up to Paul Heyman. He asks Heyman if he thinks Femi is the future of the WWE. Heyman said he respected Femi. That’s not what Breakker asked, so he asks again. Heyman thinks Breakker thinks Femi is the future of WWE. And he’ll keep respecting Femi until Breakker shows him that Femi isn’t worthy of his respect.

We see “Main Event” Jey Uso getting ready for the main event.

Elsewhere backstage is AAA GM Rey Mysterio congratulating Penta. New WWE Intercontinental Champion Chad Gable comes up and congratulated Penta on his first-round win. Then said to Rey this #1 Contender’s Tourney is one of the coolest things he’s done. Gable said it would be his honor to defend the IC title against the greatest luchador of all time, Rey Mysterio. Rey said he may be AAA’s GM, but he has a lot in the tank so he would be honored to face Gable for the title. They shake hands. Gable said he’ll talk to Pearce.

From there, again backstage we see Ruca and SKY walking and celebrating when they come across Lyra Valkyria. Valkyria says she bets Ruca is feeling so good and ready to backflip her way to her IC Championship. Ruca asks what Valkyria did to deserve a title match. Valkyria tells her to ask Bayley. If Ruca gets in the way of her getting the title she created back, she will regret it. Valkyria asks SKY what she’s looking at and leaves. SKY looks confused and asks if she’s ok. Ruca says Valkyria needs some sleep.

Now live, “Main Event” Jey Uso comes through the crowd “YEET~!”-ing like crazy for our main event.

We come back with Solo Sikoa coming out to the ring. We’re reminded that if Jey wins, he delivers Sikoa to the OTC and the Bloodline. If Sikoa win, he gets his freedom from the Bloodline and they leave him alone for good.

Jey Uso vs Solo Sikoa:

We start things off with Jey and Sikoa jawing off at each other before they finally lock up. It starts back and forth until Sikoa uses his power to take control and “YEET~!”-s out of disrespect.

Sikoa stays in control for most of the match, including multiple splashes in the corner, but he only can get a two-count. Frustration begins to settle in. Jey locks in a Sleeper Hold, but he drives Jey into the corner to get out of it. Sikoa charges, Jey moved and tried for a Spear but was caught with a Spinning Heel Kick by Sikoa. Spinning Solo finisher but only gets a near fall.

Suddenly, here comes Jimmy. Jimmy distracts Sikoa on the apron, and he turns around for a Spear by Jey for a near fall. Jey goes for another Spear in the corner but is countered with a knee kick by Sikoa. Superkick by Jey to Sikoa. Jey charged into an elbow by Sikoa, but Jey distracts the ref as Jimmy gets on the apron again. Samoan Spike to Jimmy. Sikoa turns around to a Spear by Jey and Jey goes up for an Uso Splash for the win. Jey’s going to deliver Sikoa to the OTC next week!

WINNER: Jey Uso

As the credits roll Jey and Jimmy are taunting Sikoa, “YEET~!”-ing at him, that he has to come back to the family next week on RAW. To Be Continued.
