It’s Monday Night so it’s time to get RAW! We are broadcasting live at an early start time from the Canadian Tire Centre in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada. On the tap tonight are two World Title #1 Contender’s Semifinal Matches when Penta takes on La Parka and Dragon Lee goes head-to-head with AAA Cruiserweight Champion Rey Fenix, with the winners moving to the finals to determine who will be challenging World Heavyweight Champion Roman Reigns when RAW returns to Mexico City on Sept. 14th. Stephanie Vaquer returns to action against The Judgment Day’s Roxanne Perez. The road to WWE Sunday Night’s Main Event continues as Oba Femi and Bron Breakker will take part tonight in their contract signing. And will we find out what’s next for LA Knight and Solo Sikoa in their fight against The Bloodline?
It’s the live report of the August 24th Monday Night RAW!
We begin with the superstar walk-ins. Then we’re shown the end of last week where Solo Sikoa is forced to rejoin the Bloodline. LA Knight interferes and Sikoa refused to join.
Now live here comes LA Knight to start the show in the ring. Let him talk to ya! He can’t help that he’s had his sights set on the WHC Championship. And he’s a little confused about it. He says Reigns won the title on his own. But he tells Knight he hasn’t earned it. But Reigns has sent every family member after him. Except he has one guy who warned him about the family with him in Solo Sikoa.
Here comes Sikoa through the crowd. He thanks Knight. After everything they’ve been through he could’ve said no. But he said “YEAH~!”
Now cue the Usos, Jimmy and Jey. Jimmy says they got some funny guys here. Her tells Sikoa he’s got consequences. Here’s his warning shot. Sikoa does a matrix move to avoid the warning shot. Jey wants to tag team them. They agree.
Michael Cole and Corey Graves are our commentators. “Amazing Hair” Alicia Taylor is our ring announcer and Jackie Redmond does the interviews.
We’re now shown the results of the first-round matches for the WHC #1 Contender’s Match Tourney to be defended on RAW in Mexico City.
“La Primera” hits and out comes Stephanie Vaquer to the ring for her matchup after the break. Once we’re back, Roxanne Perez is on her way with the Judgment Day.
Stephanie Vaquer vs Roxanne Perez (w/ The Judgment Day):
Perez avoids Vaquer at first until Vaquer finally stomps her arm as she rolls to the outside with The Judgment Day. She gets back in and soon as Vaquer gets in after her Perez takes advantage. It goes back and forth until Perez takes advantage of a distracted ref and knocks Vaquer off of the top ropes to the outside. Then slams Vaquer against the barricade several times before we take a mid-match break.
We come back as Perez is in control. She remains until Vaquer lands a Tilt-a-whirl Backbreaker. 10-Count Devil’s Kiss. Vaquer tries to stop Perez going to the outside by grabbing the ring apron bit the ref tries to put it back. Perez gets back in control until Becky Lynch comes out to even the odds a bit. Vaquer hits – for the win.
WINNER: Stephanie Vaquer
Liv Morgan was about to do a sneak attack on Vaquer but Lynch stopped her. She then tells Vaquer this is the only time she helps her.
Now backstage, Rey Mysterio is confronted by his son Dom, Dom asking why he didn’t put him into the tournament. From behind, Je’Von Evans throws both Dom and JD McDonagh over some crates. He’s in a mood.
Next up before the break, Rey Fenix comes out for his semi-finals match. Then Dragon Lee comes to the ring.
Rey Fenix vs Dragon Lee:
We start off with some fast-paced headlocks, takedowns and armbars. A bunch of reversals until they finally decide to slow it down and start over. It goes until Fenix takes advantage of a mistake by Lee. Then, Lee takes over with a Good-Bye Amigo on the ring apron and a Suicide Dive to take us to a break.
We’re back and both are chopping each other in the ring. It’s even until a Sit-Out Powerbomb by Fenix for a close call. Another quick pin attempt for another close call with Lee kicking out. Fenix goes up top, but Lee catches him and drives the legs to the sternum, knocking Fenix down for a close call. Now Fenix is outside on the announce table. Lee with a Suicide Dive hitting Fenix long over the table.
Back in the ring, Fenix went for his finisher, but Lee countered into a Styles Clash but a close call. Lee charges but Fenix hits an RKO for another close call. Back and forth we go. Finally, Fenix is able to nail the Mexican Musclebuster for the win.
WINNER: Rey Fenix
After the match, they shake and hug it out showing lucha respect.
Now backstage we see Oba Femi headed to the ring before the break.
We’re back in the red-carpet ring with RAW GM Adam Pearce alongside Paul Heyan. Pearce introduces the King of the Ring Oba Femi. Split screen with people strutting with him as he enters the ring. He shakes the hands of both Pearce and Heyman as the crowd loudly chants “OBA~!” Heyman introduces Bron Breakker. Breakker comes out with his tag title.
Breakker signs the contract first. But he thinks about it first. He asks who Femi thinks he is claiming to be the future. He says he had the WWE in the palm of his hand 8 months ago. Then he got hurt. That’s when Femi came into his opportunity and is handed everything he had. He is in this position because Breakker got hurt, and how he’s back to rightfully claim what is rightfully his.
Femi asks why he’s so angry. He thinks if he came in in the past, he would be the face of the future. But this is 2026, and he has the unfortunate privilege of being against him. The chances of being the face of this place has drastically gone down. And at SNME he’ll show him that the ruler, destroyer and bringer of war is Femi.
Breakker thinks this is funny. That everyone loves him, chanting him, and counts Breakker out. He says he’ll force Femi to face him in the deep waters and become a sorry wrestler who thought he could compete with a big dog like him. He will own him. He’s Breakker, the guy that Femi could not beat. And he signs the contract. He asks if Femi wants to sign it or should Heyman do it for him. He yells at Heyman to sign it. Breakker says Brock Lesnar shows up and suddenly he wants nothing to do with him. He yells at Heyman to sign it for him until Breakker sneak attacks Femi.
Austin Theory shows up and Femi is double-teamed. But Femi gets Breakker out of the ring and puts Theory through the table. Femi says Breakker will be running away from him as he signs the contract.
Now backstage, the Usos meet with Jacob Fatu. They tell Fatu to have their back and do the play tonight. Fatu reminds them he only takes orders from the OTC. They show off their leis and remind Fatu they’re the captains.
Now live in the arena, Je’Von Evans is coming to the ring for his match against Big Cass. Next.
Back, and Big Cass comes out for his first official match back.
Je’Von Evans vs Big Cass:
The ref almost loses control off the bat until she finally rings the bell. Evans uses his speed to attack Cass and keep away from him until Cass uses his power to take control over Evans. Sidewalk Slam by Cass and he’s in full control.
After a while, Cass tries for a Powerslam, but Evans wiggles out, sends Cass to the outside, and with a Suicide Dive he sends Cass to the barricade. Evans runs around the outside and nails Cass into the timekeeper’s area. Evans is pounding on Cass. Both now in the ring as Evans hits a Springboard. He goes for the OG Cutter, but Cass stops it. Big boot by Cass and the win.
Winner: Big Cass
Suddenly, Dom and McDonagh attack Evans from behind.
Now backstage, Jackie Redmond interviews Sol Ruca. Next week she gets her rematch for the Women’s Intercontinental Championship. She’s joined by IYO SKY and Lyra Valkyria. Valkyria wants an IC title match against Ruca or even face her, and the winner faces the IC champ. But she says no. She said Bayley used to talk to her like that. Then turns to IYO and spooks her. IYO says she’s scary.
Next, Penta comes to the ring for the last of the semi-final tournaments. After the break, La Parka is already in the ring.
Penta vs La Parka:
It goes back and forth with Parka getting a slight advantage, then Penta gets the advantage. Penta takes Parka to the outside. He throws Parka back in the ring but Parka Moonsaults into Penta sending him down outside.
In the ring, Parka takes control and hits a Satellite DDT for a kickout. Penta reverses a move and hits the Penta Driver for a close call. Spanish Fly by by Parka for a close call. Penta recovers and hits the ropes for a Springboard Mexican Destroyer for the win.
WINNER: Penta
It’s then announced the two brothers, Penta and Rey Fenix, will battle in the finals next week on RAW for who gets to face Roman Reigns for the WHC in Mexico City. Fenix is at the top of the ramp waiting for him. They shake hands.
Backstage again, Sikoa is with Knight. He says thank you for what he did for him last week. He has his back. Knight says he appreciates it. He says don’t make him regret it.
Backstage again is Pearce and the IC Champ Chad Gable. Pearce says he has an idea for Gable leaving a legacy. In comes Ethan Page, congratulating him on beating Rey Mysterio. He says he also beat Rey. He says Gable is avoiding him, giving him an opportunity at the title. Gable says he has the same opportunity he had. Gable made Page tap out, earning the title shot. He says Page was at the top of the list to give a title shot to, but then he opened his garbage mouth and talked his way out of a title match.
Now, after recapping what happened earlier with Vaquer beating Perez, Redmond interviews Vaquer as in two weeks on RAW she has a title match against Women’s World Champion Morgan. Vaquer says Morgan’s two pets doesn’t work with her. And to Lynch, she doesn’t need her help, but she respects her. In two weeks, she’ll take back her title and destroy the Judgment Day.
Now live, out come The Usos “YEET~!”-ing away through the crowd. Break.
When we come back, Knight and Sikoa make their entrances as it’s main event time.
The Usos (Jimmy Uso & Jey Uso) vs LA Knight & Solo Sikoa:
Jimmy and Knight start things off hot. Knight stop the fast action as he tags in Sikoa. They double team Jimmy in their corner. Finally Jey comes in against Sikoa as the Usos double-team Sikoa.
Sikoa is Superkicked like crazy on the outside. In the ring the Usos cut the ring off as Knight can’t get to Sikoa. Eventually, with Sikoa in the corner, Jey gets cocky “YEET~!”-ing away and charges but Sikoa blasts him with an Uppercut. Knight jumps back on the ring corner. Jey tags in Jimmy and Knight gets the hot tag in, punching away. Clothesline and a Neckbreaker to Jimmy. Knight goes for a BFT, but Jimmy reverses for a Samoan Drop, another reversal for an Inverted DDT on Jimmy. Knight goes for a Flying Forearm and a cover, but Jey breaks it up. Sikoa comes in but gets sent to the outside. Suicide Dive by Jey.
When suddenly, Royce Keys appears and takes out both Sikoa and Jey. In the ring, two masked wrestlers are mugging Knight and Jimmy. They unmask and are revealed to be…
OTM! Bronco Nima and Lucien Price, aka Out The Mud. They take out LA Knight. They throw Jimmy to Keys and Jimmy gets a Spinebuster. Keys is nailing everyone with the steel steps as the OTM holds them up. OTM sends Jimmy through the table on the outside.
WINNER: ? (DOUBLE DQ)
We see the carnage with the RAW debut of OTM standing tall in the ring as the credits roll.
